Priego Gang

So while we were walking around the mall on Koby's Birthday, Ruben took 4 of the kids and I was walking alone with Aisha. So out of nowhere this lady comes up to me and asked if I would like a FREE 5x7 of my daughter and I hesitated and she noticed immediately and being the good sales person that she is she offered a few poses and that I could choose from 6-7 poses I said it sounds awesome BUT I have 5 kids do you mind taking 4 pictures of all of them together and still get a FREE 5x7 of them and sure enough she was game and this is the picture we get. The first official picture of all and spur of the moment. I'm sure I could have been a little more pushier about getting the kids in different positions But beggers can't be chooser's. I could have tried though, right.

Cheap Birthday Idea

Well it was Koby's 10th Birthday and we went out to eat and then spent the afternoon at the University Mall playing in the new tree house they just redid. Of all things to have indoor was a skeletal structure of a T-Rex (I think) and that just happens to be one of the many things Koby loves which are Dinosaurs. To bad for Koby his brother did not agree Paco was scared the whole time and did not want to even get close to the thing. He tried the slide but that freeked him out to. One thing for sure we made that kid walk from Macey's to the Tree house it was great because since like forever he slept the whole night.

I said what!?

Lately Ruben and I have been renting some movies to watch and well he really isn't into Chick flicks and I really do not mind action. I rented this movie that just came out and I remember liking it and thought that it would be okay for the kids to see since there was only action and nothing else(at least that I could remember). So the next day we decided that we would all see it as a family and the movie started and to both Ruben and my surprise there was a sex scene in the beginning that we honestly forgot and Ruben could not find the remote fast enough and the kids were laughing and all I could yell out was SHUT YOUR LEGS!!! over and over again. The kids looked at me like I was crazy and Natasha said, "Do you mean SHUT your EYES?" We could not stop laughing the whole night. I guess you had to be there.

Setting a good example

New Year means setting goals. For us is trying to get things in order with Heavenly Father and making sure our life is focused around the gospel. At least we try in every shape and form. So as always we set goals on trying to read more frequently the scriptures and making sure that we have family home evening more often not just once or twice a month and just making it fun for the kids. As usual we always do our family prayers before we go to sleep and we always kneel down to pray before we leave the house in the morning. As you know already our youngest just turned 1 and he has been paying a lot of attention to what is going around the house and so yesterday morning as we knelt down to pray he was just crawling around and realized what we were doing and joined our circle and knelt down next to his sister Mitchelle and was reverent throughout the whole prayer. I'm sure you must be wondering why I was not closing my own eyes but as a mother I was just keeping an eye on him but was totally moved by his obedience with the prayer. He then later as we were getting ready for bed and joined together for prayer he did the exact same thing as the morning but this time dad was around to see it for himself. It was awesome. So this obviously puts pressure on me to make sure we are always choosing to do the right since we are being so closely observed. Don't under estimate your young ones.

Sorry it took me for ever to put the picture in but I could not remember where I had this picture saved in. But doesn't he look so cute. This outfit is thanks to grandma (my mom) of course. Well look out everyone my son is going crazy and loving every moment spent with his brother and sisters. I will try to update more often and next time include the rest of my kids.

Peek-a-boo

Finally he figured out how to play peek-a-boo. He makes us laugh so much and he just turned 1. Time really goes by in a blink of an eye.
